PURPOSE: SecuraSpan Horizontal Lifeline (HLL) systems are designed to be used as an anchoring means for up to six personal fall arrest systems (PFAS). The SecuraSpan system may be used in situations where a combination of horizontal mobility and fall protection is needed. The SecuraSpan HLL system can consist of a single Lifeline span or multiple Lifeline spans.

HORIZONTAL LIFELINE SPAN: The maximum horizontal lifeline span length is 60 ft. (18.3 m). The system length can be extended by using Intermediate Stanchions to create multiple spans (see Figure 1). The span length must be reduced when clearance is limited

The SecuraSpan I-Beam Stanchion is used as the end and intermediate Stanchions for Horizontal Lifeline (HLLs) mounted on steel I-beams/ Wide Flange beams. SecuraSpan HLL systems can be comprised of a single Lifeline span or multiple Lifeline spans.

Beam Size Requirements -  The standard Stanchion (7400055) is equipped with a Beam Clamp Assembly that accommodates flange widths  from 12 in. - 18 in. (30.5 cm - 45.7 cm) 2 1/4" (5.7cm) thick

DESCRIPTION: Tie back base assembly with chain (7400214) for SecuraSpan rebar/shear stud horizontal lifeline stanchion

Optional Base Clamp Assemblies (2A) are available for the flange width ranges 6"-24" and 6" to 36" wide flange

Tie-off point before decking or other fall protection is available on pre-stressed concrete beams with rebar or shear studs. Stanchions are adjustable from vertical 20 degrees left or right for easy passage, or completely horizontal for transportation to jobsite.

PRODUCT HIGHLIGHTS:

Extremely Lightweight and Portable Provides fast and easy handling, installation and storage for maximum worker productivity.
•Single and Multi-Span Flexibility Provides complete customization of your system depending upon the clearance below the work area and overall length needed.
•Pass-Thru 100% Tie-Off Protection The multi-span intermediate provides bypass capabilities for continuous connection, complete horizontal mobility and 100% protection.
•Integrated Energy Absorber Zorbit energy absorber limits fall arrest forces on the worker to safe levels, minimizes fall clearance needed and protects the structure.
•Flexible System Capacity System capacity of 2 workers per span, with a maximum of 6 workers on multi-span systems provides added job site flexibility.
•Durable Construction Extremely rugged zinc plated carbon steel construction provides corrosion resistance for longer service life.
